NEW YORK (TURKISH JOURNAL) – Pia Bozyel – United Nations (UN) Secretary General condemned the airstrike on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza, which claimed hundreds of lives.
Guterres, in a written statement, extended his condolences to the families of the victims and wished a swift recovery to those injured.
Noting that there were women and children among the killed and injured at the hospital airstrike, Guterres said, “Hospitals, clinics, medical personnel, and UN premises are explicitly protected under international law.”
Guterres also condemned the attack on UNRWA schools which took place earlier in the day, claiming at least 6 lives.
More than 500 people are thought to be killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza.
