Brant Schwartz – The New York Yankees are bringing back one of their most popular “Seinfeld” promotions with a new George Costanza bobblehead — and this time, the iconic character is holding a calzone.
The collectible will be given away on Aug. 27, when the Yankees host the Houston Astros at Yankee Stadium. Only the first 18,000 fans through the gates will receive the limited-edition bobblehead.
The design pays tribute to “The Calzone,” a classic Season 7 episode of Seinfeld. In the episode, Costanza brings calzones to work and ends up impressing Yankees owner George Steinbrenner, creating one of the show’s memorable storylines.
This is the third Yankees bobblehead inspired by Costanza. Previous versions featured him teaching Bernie Williams and Derek Jeter how to hit and later sleeping under his desk. The new calzone edition continues the Yankees’ popular connection with the fictional employee.
Interest among collectors is already high. Pre-sale listings for the 2026 bobblehead have appeared online for roughly $100 to $150, with some listings reaching even higher prices.
The Yankees say the 18,000 giveaway limit will remain fixed, making the item particularly attractive to “Seinfeld” and Yankees collectors. Fans are expected to arrive early at Yankee Stadium to secure one.
